Optimism is high that coronavirus vaccine programs will begin rolling out before the end of the year. Following successful trials from Pfizer and Moderna, data from mid-stage trials by AstraZeneca and Oxford University indicated a strong immune response. Stocks in the UK and Europe have followed Asian markets and US futures higher this morning.
On Friday, European ended a little higher. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that vaccines could be approved before the end of the year. US stocks came under pressure late in Friday’s session, closing negative for the day.
