UK and European stocks are higher this morning as investors await key US jobs data. The expectation is for nonfarm payrolls to have increased by 700,000 in June. That would represent the biggest gain in three months.

Currently there is an clear disparity between European and Asian market performance. European stocks are close to record highs spurred by vaccine optimism whereas the spread of the Delta variant is weighing on Asian markets.
