Stocks lower on Brexit and US stimulus

UK and European markets are lower this morning. Boris Johnson said there was a “strong possibility” that the UK could leave the EU with no free trade agreement in place. There are key issues unresolved. Sunday will likely see an agreement to extend talks further or a more serious announcement.

The Brexit uncertainty along with news that London could be moved to a tier three level of restrictions sent the Pound lower.

Investors are also concerned that negotiations over a new US stimulus package remain stalled. It appears there are sections in the proposal that will not meet with approval from a large number of Republicans.
