UK Inflation slows unexpectedly but producer prices rise

Data released this morning from the Office for National Statistics shows that UK Inflation slowed unexpectedly in September to 3.1% from 3.2% in August, however UK Producer Price Inflation increased to 6.7% as companies lift their prices as their costs rise.

In The US, third-quarter earnings continue strong with 82% of the S&P 500 companies that have so far reported beating expectations.
